Scholarships, Funding and Awards
A range of scholarships and awards are available to our students. These include The Students Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) awards which, under the Postgraduate Students Allowances Scheme (PSAS), provides funding for students on a range of postgraduate courses. The Aberdeen Business School has 15 postgraduate courses which have been allocated PSAS funding for study commencing in 2008.

The Aberdeen Business School has a long and well establised history of providing placements for our students and has fostered strong links with the business community, both locally and nationally, and was the principal sponsor of the 2007 Northern Star Business Awards. Professor Rita Marcella, Dean of School, said, "I am delighted that the School had the opportunity to sponsor the Northern Star Business Awards in 2007 as they recognise entrepreneurship and dynamic management which are qualities we support and nurture in our students."

An International Campus
As one of a truly international student population, you will have the opportunity to meet, study and socialise with people from many backgrounds and cultures. For our international students, this interaction helps to improve English language skills. Studying in Aberdeen will also provide you with the chance to find out about Scotland and the culture of this unique area of the UK.
Whether you are a UK or international graduate we offer not only the breadth of our international experience but also the opportunities to meet and interact with professional managers on our part-time programme.
You will be studying on our modern campus which is located in a woodland location by the River Dee on the south side of Aberdeen. Our facilities have up-to-date, industry-standard electronic resources and an extensive modern library. The RGU Sports Centre is sited at the heart of the campus with a range of social and catering facilities also available within the Centre. The Business School is only a 15 minute bus journey from the centre of the city and the original university campus at Schoolhill.
Virtual Campus
An increasing number of learners study on our Open and Distance Learning Programmes, supported by the RGU Virtual Campus. The Campus will provide you with tutorial support and an ability to communicate with your colleagues and tutors in discussion forums.
Whether you are studying part-time or at a distance, you will be able to access our large range of electronic resources from home, work or at the University. These include a range of on-line journals, company information and our collection of e-books.
Adult Learners
Alternatively, you may be one of a large group of adult learners returning to part time study.
If you are not a graduate, there are still opportunities for you to join our postgraduate programmes through our Access arrangements.
At Aberdeen Business School, you will not only update your knowledge and understanding, but also be able to demonstrate how to apply this in professional management practice. MBA Taster Evening
This year the MBA Taster Evening will be held on Thursday 7th August from 6pm to 8pm.
We welcome you to come along to find out more about both the Masters in Business Adminstration and the Aberdeen Business School.
The evening offers prospective students the chance to find out more about the MBA, to meet the staff and to also have the chance to view our excellent facilities and location. It is part of a series of Open Days and Taster Evenings which are held at the School throughout the year which allows those considering a course of study the opportunity to visit the School and speak to staff.

Postgraduate Open Evening
The Part-time and Postgraduate Open Evening will be held on Thursday 28th August from 3pm - 7pm and offers prospective students the opportunity to find out more about the courses and the School. It also gives those interested in part-time and online study the chance to speak about courses available and how these can enhance career prospects. Academic staff and advisers will be on hand to answer questions and provide information and advice. It also gives visitors the chance to view our excellent facilities and location.

Premasters Courses
Overview of the Course
This is an access course for non-graduates with at least 2 years of management experience or for graduates in a non-management disipline who wish to access PgDip/MSc courses in the Graduate Management Studies Programme and certain other taught postgraduate courses offered in the Faculty of Management.
The course permits learners to gain a broad and integrated understanding of management concepts, principles, techniques and practices and builds on the management experience/academic background of the student cohort
Benefits of this Course
Web-based home study The course is delivered on the web via the University's Virtual Campus. Facilities include online discussion forums, online tutorial feedback and web and/or paper-based learning materials. The skills component of the Information Technology module is supported by interactive CD Rom using material developed for the European Computer Driving Licence.
Access to Postgraduate Study Together with management experience, the Access Foundation course provides access to postgraduate study for non-graduates.
Pre-Masters Study The course is also a progression route for graduates of a non-business/management discipline who wish a pre-Masters course in business/management.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Individual modules of the course may be studied on a CPD basis with credits awarded for successfully completed modules.
Course Aims
This course permits learners to gain a broad and integrated understanding of management concepts, principles, techniques and practices.
Learners also gain appropriate professional and study skills for higher level professional practice and/or study in business/management.
